Sid’s Legacy (Snoopy as we still fondly call him) is the culmination of years of selective breeding; being a direct grandson of the legendary Sid’s Good stallion aka Jim’s good stallion of England and out of the fabulous Mare Polly (aka Babydoll this colts Dam) whose mother was also out of Sid’s stock being the good big mare Bonny. Babydoll was named one of the top 10 mares ever imported by Black Forrest Shires and Gypsy Horses and good breeding here is HARD TO MISS! Sid is one of the most respected names in the gypsy horse world, and among gypsies in general.  Sid is known for having bred some of the finest horses in all of Europe.  Horses like Penny, (AKA Cassie), Polly, (AKA Babydoll), and Panda Rose are from his lines. Sid’s Good Stallion sadly had to be put down due to an injury sustained to his knee during breeding, so a colt this closely descended from this legendary stallion is a huge bonus and we feel honored to have him. This colt was sired by a great stallion Sid had on his farm in England called Sporty. Take the good big mare Babydoll, and put her to an equally good stallion and you have the genetics to stamp your foals. See Sporty pictures below. Clearly when you look at this young stallion, you can see both Sporty and Babydoll were generous with their attributes. (New pictures coming soon) Both Babydoll and Sporty are 15.2 hands so this boy ought to grow up to be on the bigger side, giving him the added bonus of being able to put some size on his own foals while still preserving the smaller more refined head, and heavy feather the traditional gypsy horse often looses when put on the shires and clydes for size. Sid’s Legacy will be available to a limited number of mares in 2006. While we will cross breed we intend to limit the amount of cross breeding we do and focus primarily on maintaining and promoting foundation bloodstock.
